Julie Meyers is a storyteller who believes stories resurrect what silence tries to erase.
Her work began unexpectedly, when her daughter’s first-grade assignment—a flimsy paper doll named Flat Stanley—collided with an email from Donaueschingen, the German town Julie’s mother fled as a four-year-old in 1939.
Julie writes and speaks to honor what was lost, lift what was buried, and show how strangers can become carriers of memory and hope.
